Abstract
This study determined the influenced of entrepreneurship education on career development of business education students of Federal Universities in Northeast, Nigeria. To achieve this, 3 purposes, 3 research questions and 3 hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Descriptive survey design was used for the study. The population of the study consists of 350 final year undergraduate business education students from three Federal Universities in the North east zone. These universities were Modibbo Adama University of Technology Yola (MAUTECH), University of Maiduguri (Unimaid) Borno State and Abubakar Tafawa Balewa (ATBU) Bauchi, from 2018/2019 academic session. The entire population was used as a sample for the study and cluster sampling was used as a sampling techniques. A questionnaire items were also used as an instrument for data collection. The reliability coefficient of the instrument wast 0.75. The data collected were analyzed using SPSS. Mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while regression analysis was used to test the null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study revealed that entrepreneurship education had a significant influence on career development of business education students in Federal Universities in Northeast, Nigeria. The study therefore, recommended among others that the Federal Universities should strategically establish entrepreneurship incubation centers that will assist students with strong entrepreneurship skills, which subsequently led to student??(TM)s career development.
