Abstract
<p>The purpose of this study was to find out building trade student's perception of the quality of knowledge, attitude and skills acquired in science and technical colleges in Bauchi and Gombe States. Specifically, the study was to determine the adequacy of trade theory contents, trade practice, basic scientific and general knowledge contents, building and engineering drawing skills acquired by students in building trade. The study was guided by four research questions. The population for this study was 272 National Technical Certificate (NTC) III Building Trade Students from Technical Colleges in Gombe and Bauchi States. The entire population was used for the study. A survey design employing a structured questionnaire for data collection was used. The findings reveals that out of 18 items for trade theory contents topic only 5, were adequately taught, 13 were inadequately taught, this research also discover that practical skill contents were not adequately learned, basic scientific and general knowledge, building and engineering drawing skills are also not taught to students adequately. Recommendations were proffered.</p>
