Abstract
<p>The study determined some Technical colleges' deficiencies and remedies in skills acquired by building construction trade graduates through a survey study. The study was guided by two research questions and one hypothesis. The instrument that was used for the generation of data was a structured questionnaire developed on a four point scale sample of 150 made up of industrial workers and graduate employee were used for the study. The hypothesis was tested at 0.05 level of significance. Some of the remedies to the deficiencies include; that training has to be based on the needs of the macro-society and that training in building construction trade should be in harmony with the industries, in collaboration with the industry develop the curriculum of study to ensure dynamism and flexibility. One of the recommendations made was that training institutions offering building construction trade should consider the needs of the immediate society and the industries skills requirements.</p><p><br></p>
