This study is an experimental research that sought to investigate the effect of the 7E instructional strategy, on students perception of the importance of Biology, perception of difficulty of Biology and the perception on the subject of Biology itself. The study is a quasi-experimental pre-test posttest control group research design, with the experimental group receiving the treatment. Two secondary schools were randomly selected and a total of 120 students were used as the sample for the study. Research questions were answered by descriptive statistics of means and standard deviation while the research hypotheses were analysed by Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The findings of the study showed that the 7E instructional strategy effectively improved the perception of students of the importance and difficulty of Biology as well as their perception of the subject itself. The strategy, therefore, is highly recommended for use in teaching Biology in public secondary schools in Nigeria
